The City of Busselton, along with the Federal Government, has committed funding to the development of the Busselton Performing Arts and Convention Centre (BPACC). The Centre, located in the heart of the Cultural Precinct, will feature state-of-the-art performing arts facilities, art gallery and convention centre. Linking the revitalised Busselton Foreshore with the town centre, the new BPACC will be a much needed hub for the City’s significant creative sector as well as a prime destination for conferences, events and trade shows.
This centre will be an iconic landmark performance space with a 625-seat capacity theatre, and conference and events space to accommodate over 400 people banquet style. The building will be flexible in design utilising the latest technology to fill the gap to host large indoor events, adding to the viability of the South West touring circuit and the opportunity to increase visitation to the region as a destination. The Centre will deliver a traditional theatre with operational flexibility to hold events, small to large functions, exhibitions and a conference facility. Once the seats have been retracted and the auditorium is in flat-floor mode, it will provide an indoor events space for over 1,000 people.
