Vast and boundless sense of space, ravaged red earth, inhospitable vegetation. For me this is the great unknown in the far North West. The further into the wilderness one travels the stronger sense of humility one feels. Our culture of possession subsides and we begin to feel possessed by the land instead. This journey invokes a deeper connection to the country, the spirituality, the adventure. A resonating identification with the homeland and its people.
